In May, we will be traveling to Romania for 4 full days. Our goal is simple: to support the people on the ground, document what’s really happening, and use our platform to raise awareness for dogs who are too often unseen.
Romania is home to a large population of stray dogs, and one of the most effective ways to create long-term change is through sterilisation. That’s why we’re raising funds to support a full-day spayathon, a sterilisation marathon where experienced vets and volunteers work together to spay/neuter as many dogs as possible.
In just one day, around 40 dogs can be helped, each procedure costing approximately €25. With this campaign, we aim to raise enough to fund one full day of sterilisations (40 dogs) and provide food for dogs and rescuers while we’re there.
Alongside raising funds, we’ll be documenting everything, the reality on the ground, the work being done, and the direct impact of every donation. Our goal is not just to help in the moment, but to create awareness that leads to long-term support.
Rescue, rehabilitation & stray population control
We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need while supporting neutering programs to reduce stray populations. Every dog deserves a second chance.
Support & collaboration through a global network
We connect skilled volunteers with rescue organisations, providing one-off services like content creation, fundraising, and event planning. Together, we make a bigger impact.
Education & awareness
Through powerful storytelling and educational efforts, we raise awareness about rescuing and animal welfare, inspiring action and lasting change.

Some stories change your life forever. Ours began with Dunya, a 10-month-old husky Demi adopted at 21. Never expecting it would one day grow into Dunya’s Rescue Haven.
As sisters, we’ve always had a big passion for dogs and as our pack grew over time, so did our commitment to helping, advocating for, and rescuing dogs in need. What started as the Husky Cuddle Sessions, a fun way to raise money for other organisations, soon evolved into wanting to start our own rescue organisation.
The name Dunya carries even more meaning, it’s a word often translated as “world” or “earth.” That’s exactly what we aim to build: a rescue haven for dogs everywhere. Through our work, we hope to inspire, educate, and connect people who, like us, believe that every dog deserves a safe and loving home.
This is just the beginning of our journey. Whether you join us by adopting, volunteering, supporting our projects, or even just sharing our mission, you’re part of something bigger.

She’s currently in Qatar and will be relocated to Europe, ideally somewhere with a cooler climate where she can finally thrive. She’s incredibly dog-friendly, playful, and happiest when she has furry friends around, so a home with other dogs is a big plus. A calm, relaxed environment with a large properly fenced garden would be her perfect match. She's spayed, has a high energy level and is friendly / social with children.
